Unexpected Twists and Turns *SPOILER ALERT*
This week I continued to read Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas, and new developments in the case of Hayley Dewalt's kidnapping and/or murder. It is no longer the case of Hayley Dewalt's disappearance, but the case of Hayley Dewalt's and Aurora Scott's disappearances. And that's not all. Aurora Scott's stepmother is the biological mother of the protagonist, Veronica Mars, who abandoned her and her father 12 years ago, was kicked out of their apartment by Veronica and 11 years ago, stole $50,000, and hasn't seen Veronica since. Veronica is struggling with mixed feelings towards her mother, happy to see her and to know that she's okay, but angry towards her for taking $50,000 and not contacting Veronica since. I, personally, am still shocked by Thomas' choice of twists and turns, and the fact that Veronica's mom has returned and that Veronica has a half-brother.
